【摘要】:Thistestmethoddescribesaprocedurefordeterminingthepenetrationofaerosolsthroughaone-ortwostageHEPAfilterinstallation.Testingmultiplefilterstagesasasingleuniteliminatestheneedfor:installationofauxiliaryaerosolbypassducts,installationofaerosolinjectionmanifoldsbetweenfilterstages,andentryoftestpersonnelintocontaminatedareas.Itprovidesforfiltertestingwithoutinterruptionofplantprocessesandoperationofventilationsystems.Theprocedureisapplicableformeasuringpenetrationsrequiringsensitivitiesto0.1x03BC;m.Achallengeconcentrationof2.5x00D7;105particles/cm3(p/cm3),isrequiredforevaluationofone-filterstage,and2x00D7;106p/cm3,orabout30x03BC;g/L(assumingunitdensity),isrequiredtoproperlyevaluateatwo-stageHEPAfiltersystemasoneunit.ThistestmethodcandeterminethepenetrationofHEPAfiltersintheparticle-sizerangefrom0.1to0.2x03BC;mwherethegreatestpenetrationofparticlesislikelytooccur.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheprocedureandequipmentformeasuringthepenetrationoftestparticlesthroughhigh-efficiencyparticulateair(HEPA)filtersystemsusingalaseraerosolspectrometer(LAS).ThistestmethodprovidesthecapabilityofevaluatingtheoveralleffectivenessofHEPAfiltersystemsconsistingofoneortwofilterstages.1.2Theaerosolsusedfortestinghaveaheterodispersesizedistributioninthesubmicrometerdiameterrangefrom0.1to1.0181m.1.3Thepurposeforconductingin-placefiltertestingbythistestmethodisintheabilitytodeterminepenetrationofmulti-stageinstallations,withoutindividualstagetests.Particlepenetrationaslowas10-8canbemeasuredbythistestmethod.Also,theLASprovidesameasureofpenetrationfordiscreteparticlesizes.1.4MaximumpenetrationforaninstalledHEPAfiltersystemis5X10-4foronefilterstage,and2.5X10-7fortwostagesinseriesisrecommended.Note1--Acceptancepenetrationcriteriamustbespecifiedintheprogram,orownersspecifications.ThepenetrationcriteriasuggestedinthistestmethodisreferencedinRef(1).1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificprecautionarystatementsaregivenin9.6.
